Many people think that if you want to buy some of handicraft and sewing equipment you must head straight to Pahurat or Sum Peng, but you know that there is other place that have equipment and materials that used for leather work. That is “Charoenrat”. Charoenrat is a place for selling leather over 40 years.
Charoenrat is the biggest place where many kinds of leather can be found here along the road. Leathers that can be found there were Vegetable tanned, Suede, Nubuck, PU leather, etc. There were also bring their leather into handicraft, business and creative product such as leather shoes, bag, pouch and furniture.

Creative Product from local material leather
Kanita is a leather product brand from creative handicraft stuff. Their product was about combination between local material and cultural Thai dessert that represent in creative product form. There was a creativity that persuade in the fashion and handicraft stuff.

1.Cow Leather is the natural, unbleached skin and hair of a cow. It retains the original coloring of the animal. Cowhides are a product of the food industry from cattle; other cows are killed specifically for their skin. Cowhide can also be processed into a leather, which can be used to make such things as shoes, wallets, leather jackets, and belts.
2.Tanned Leather is the process of treating skins and hides of animals to produce leather. A tannery is the place where the skins are processed.Tanning hide into leather involves a process which permanently alters the protein structure of skin, making it more durable and less susceptible to decomposition, and also possibly coloring it.

Charoen Rat is community like sampeng and phahurat, located along the Charoen Rat Rd., Khlong San. Most of store along road side sell leather and made handcraft from leather. Charoen Rat is known as leather community like when we want to buy fabric we go to phahurat and if we want leather we go to buy it at Charoen Rat. When we went to Charoen Rat the culture of that give us feel like mini sampeng and phahurat shopping street but not too lound as sampeng and among of people is less than sampeng. People who live in this community is merchant (selling retail leather), Craftsman; we can see most of Thai leather band along the road and their leather craft is good quality like other country.

Intangible heritage includes traditions or living expressions inherited from our ancestors and passed on to our descendants, such as oral traditions, performing arts, social practices, rituals, festive events, knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe or the knowledge and skills to produce traditional crafts, food and medicine heritage and digital heritage3. Tangible cultural heritage is commonly defined as not having a physical presence.
